I have been hurt

Stressed over maths and japanese. Have no idea how to do them. And I only have cherry tomatoes and lettuce to eat as snacks to de-stress.

Chocolate Chip Cookies!
Yep. That's the highlight of today. But I'll start from the beginning.
As usual, I fell asleep on Rachel's car (the Rachel Ng in 113 '09, my neighbour) and woke up just as her father drove near the school. Hehe. And walked to school, blahblahblah. And nothing much happened. Until Assembly. Amelia and I were rushing down to raise the flag when the classroom block staircase near the audi when at the 1st level, there was a major congestion. Scrap that. More of a dead jam. Sec ones were crowding by the turn of the stairs, debating whether to go and assemble on the quadrangle and wait for assembly or not. Some were saying that the announcement just said to go up, some didn't hear the announcement and insisted that they were to line up, others were sitting on the fence and some just simply wanted to stand in the drizzle in the quadrangle.
So the three of us, Amelia, Yilin(?) [sorry. so long still cannot remember your name], and I were shooing them up and saying "no assembly, please go back to your classrooms." and then they slowly and I mean slowly trudged back to their classes. Wth. We were like over the moon when we didn't have to go down for assembly last year! But the four of us (including Cherie) had to do flagraising, although we could raise at our own speeds this time round.
Science test was basically lousy. I think I failed. I don't know how to do a lot leh... But more practice will make perfect. I don't believe that humans aren't perfect, so don't tell me no one is perfect, so why practice. We can be as perfect as humans can be. Let me learn from Lynn and be optimistic (although i don't think i'll ever do well for physics...).
Home Econs was fun. Danielle and I were baking together again. hehe. I drank her water, without knowing she was sick. Please don't let me fall sick. She doesn't look sick though. Anyway, the cookies we baked looked cute and smelt lovely. we baked 14, 7 each. I ate one of mine in school, after we got back to class for math. And Jun Hui was like, "Fiona! You're a prefect leh!" Erm, that will be the only time... I want to eat it while it's hot what... And taste the best taste of my chocolate chip cookies.
2 tablespoons of flour
1/4 teaspoon of baking powder
1/4 teaspoon of something soda
2 level tablespoons of sugar
1/4 of an egg (about one teaspoon)
some chocolate chips
quarter a chunk of butter
1. Sieve the flour, baking powder and raising soda together.
2. Cream the butter and sugar.
3. Add in the egg to the butter and sugar gradually
4. Add in chocolate chips to the butter+sugar+egg mixture.
5. Add in flour to the butter+sugar+egg+chocolate chips mixture.
6. Fold them together until it is evenly mixed.
7. Put them in odd shapes on an oil-coated tray.
8. oven then for about 7 minutes, until they are bit golden brown, then turn them.
9. Let them cool and move them on the tray a bit, to make sure they aren't stuck.
10. Cool a bit more and they are ready to be eaten!
That's all to the recipe, I think.
Math was ok... nothing much. Just that I didn't know how to do most of the HOT questions. How pathetic is that... Then Language arts... I brought my Martin Luther King Jr. Speech COmprehension to Computer Lab 3, but forgot to bring my answers! How daft. And I was very reluctant to mark myself correct. Mr Lee said i should underestimate myself, but i told him it's worse to over estimate myself.
Then we worked on our ppts, and waiting to 搭Wanqing's 顺风车, I read her story in the lab after finishing my ppt. Left Sarah's part haven't only. Anyway, she has a 7-seater car. O.O And her mum's nice. Anyway, I found Yamaha and spent $140 registering for my electone exam, which I have totally no confidence in. Hope I'll pass. Flying colours or not doesn't matter.

Slept too little, so I'm sleeping early today.
today was basically... relaxing? But i slept too little, less than 5 and a half hours. So I'm going to sleep now. hehe.
During Science, after finishing the worksheet, I was already falling asleep and virtually impossible to concentrate on the GCSE Science thingum, so I might as well sleep there for a while, and I kept falling asleep and waking up and falling asleep and waking up. Chinese was almost the same. Just that I suddenly became awake in the middle of it and finished my whole paper, with only one question I didn't know how to do. Sheesh. I anyhow wrote stuff.
PE was fun. GahYarn was blocking me and she's like too tall and too agile, so I keep moving and moving. She keeps preventing me from moving in front of her and i keep moving backwards then in front and all. When I switched with Huahua, Brenda was blocking me. Nice pair, huh? Tallest and Shortest. But anyway, I actually could catch the ball better when Brenda was blocking me. Easier to dive and run away, but couldn't block at all.
IVP was fun. JunHui and I thought of lots of fun ideas. x) Too bad for those who went to Sembcorp and Greenwave. They have to do stuff to save the environment. haha. IvP can invent anything. woots!
CCA was cool. I'm doing 音响 for SYF, the actors list came out already. Mostly seniors. And we're going to take part in a video competition, we act and the videography CCA film. If we win, them we will get like, lots of money!!! Of course half must go to the school because we use the school's resources and all. Another thing, I want to join this 故事擂台, by the way Li Lao Shi described it, it really seems quite fun! I'm sure I have enough creativity to do it.
On the way home, walking behind the Muslim kindergarten, this malay lady dumped a large blue plastic bag, seemingly heavy there. She tied her hair up with a scarf and was rather tall, quite pretty. The blue plastic bag had a red plastic bag inside. And she didn't live there! Like she specifically dumped it there. And then got into a black mitsubishi SGY 420Y and drove off. What the heck.
I tried to sleep before 10.30pm but at this time, it's alread early for me already hor!!!

Was doing Jap in Amelia's house. Finished 3 pages of Kanjia dn was like, damn bored. So we went downstairs to watch TV and eat chocolates with Anson. And we watched the part with Fahrenheit in it, that new year programme that plays almost everyday. And the magic show, found out that the girls won. I told Amelia how they did it, which was super easy. I did it before. The boys' magic performance, I didn't know how they did it. Amazing, really. But the girls won. Sheesh. Wonder how Fahrenheit chose. Just because they are girls ah? sigh. but never mind. I had a fun time there. Her house is simply magnificent. Love it.
Today, my compo was photocopied for everyone to see. I got like 48, but -5 for wrong words, so I could've gotten 53. I FEEL SO PISSED! And samantha started hers with, "我的家庭不是很富裕”or something like that and the first sentence, everyone knew it was fake. BECAUSE she lives in a terrace house! And is filthy rich. Anyway, 叶老师 was like, “你欺骗了我的感情。”haha.

CNY 2009 - Start
I went for visiting from like 12am. And just came back. Woots! It's like an early visiting (Chinese New Year starts at 11pm) to all the closer religious friends. My brother didn't go because he wanted to play PSP with his friend. haha. And only 2 out of the many people gave me two ang-paos: one for me and one for my brother. 我收获很大咯！And it seems that they all have the impression that I'm some 乖宝宝、才女sort of thing. And I took photos. x)
hehe. And i had a few breaking points, like I was very very tired and sleepy but then I turned very awake. I just got news that the youth group is coming over to my house for visiting! If they are going elsewhere, I'll go with them. x) Anyway, the breaking points were when I ate this absoulutely delicious cookie, when I was scared by 孝妙坛主娘's dog (she's the beautiful one in the cheongsam) and when I watched a programme on the TV with Fahrenheit singing 越来越爱. haha.
Lawrence GorGor is at my house now, staying over for the night to do some religiou stuff. But anyway, this is so fun, one of the best nights in the whole year and I;ve been anticipating it. x)
being very high over fahrenheit now.

I don't understand why during this festive season, I'm still not happy. I didn't understand how come I kept having this aching in my heart, a hole that cannot be filled. But now I finally do, and I finally know why there is such a hole. But even so I still cannot do anything about it, because the hole won't ever be gone no matter what, even if I do so much to fill it.
The hole represents a loss of freedom, a hole that has been there since I opened that letter telling me I got into Nanyang. With teachers so eager to stretch you, it seems that even my favourite Chinese New Year is gone, with no chance of coming back. Traditions stand, with all in my family with a duty to help out in new year preparations and chores, getting everything done in 24 hours. Though 24 hours remain the same, I now not only have chores to complete, but also the over-flowing stack of homework. No matter how much I try to complete them, they are forever present.
Stress threatens to overcome me, and make me lose myself, my original personality worn away by its friction. Now, I comprehend what she said by giving them the biggest ang-pao with no homework, but it seems that my teachers will never understand what it means.
reunion dinner 09
Had reunion dinner one day early. It was delicious; we had steamboat as usual. But i miss having reunion dinner at 爷爷's house, where the table was rectangle and we had 5 to 7 dishes, of which some were cooked by him. The light would be dim, and we could see the dark corridor outside with silhouttes of the plants he grew, with the redish lights beside the ancestral tablet shining upon us, telling us to thank our ancestors for giving us the opportunity to live such a good life. But he's gone.
Anyway, we talked a lot during dinner, like Reverend MingYi and the corruption to new year songs. And i reposted my story on blogger, like wanqing. Because baidu still doesn't like me.
Friday, January 23, 2009, 10:14 PM
urgh. I have really lost chapter 9, 10, 11 and 12 of my story. and worse, Baidu seems to start to dislike me and I can't post much there. So I'll learn from Wanqing and create a blog. Thanks for your compliments.
Root of the Devil’s tree
Lies were like an enormous blanket, swallowing me up in a never-ending darkness. What was meant to be a bright future, turned into a path through a dark tunnel, where success seemed easy, but hope never really existed.
Nanyang CNY celebrations 09
Yesterday was a totally slack day. Drama, we had cover-space, where we had to walk and run and crawl and walk and run and walk and run, trying to prevent aliens from flying through our closed window and landing in the space we were walking in, not seeing the big space on the quadrangle.
Philo, we had to find out the opinions of stealing from the eyes of various fictional characters, Carl, etc etc. The pictures were super funny. Carl was half bald, and one of the girls had a pointy head, like the KKK.
Then for art we drew random pictures and IVP we learnt about TechnoKrackers, where someone invented firecrackers that popped with compressed air. Why can't you just buy those with the recodrings of firecrackers? Aren't those much better?
And so on, we only had science one serious lesson, the rest was like, fun and more fun. I spent the entire history lesson reading my chinese romance, then went home and immediately fell asleep until 9pm.
After that, we went to see flowers in Thomson, and bought 3 天堂鸟 and one bouquet of some weird flowers which turned out today to have a dung-like smell. So we put them outside the house. eww. But they look pretty. aww.
Today... the chinese new year celebration, 挥春 was a complete failure. Mine's tore. i wrote 旧年除旧俗，新年启新知。And 俗 tore into shreds. sigh. I'm a failure at caligraphy. A totally failure. Then the new year performance was amazing. Wanqing was totally COOL! Omg, I can't forget her face on stage, when she went "HAH!" with the scary face. It was amazing. The trio wushu performance was the best thing of the whole programme, even better than the dance.
Speaking about the dances, the Chinese dance performance was COPIED! totally copied from what 112 '08 invented. COPYRIGHT LAH, 陈老师. But it was quite good. The modern dance one was good too, although Bleeding Love is too sad a song to be performed for CNY celebrations, don't you think? The lion dance performance was quite nice too, like one lion was pro, the other wasn't. And the Gong Ah was so cute lor. But they only threw sweets to the middle, and forgot all about the poor things at the side. JunHui was hoping to catch a sweet. But didn't. Never mind Junhui, next year, next year. I don't understand why they didn't use the new lions. The new ones look much better.
Then we went home and went to Concord. Malcolm wanted to have lunch together. So we agreed and JunHui only ate some love letters at home and I only ate the smallest sweet potato I had. (yes. Sweet potato again. Had sweet potato for breakfast too. hehe. it tastes quite nice.) then we went there and I reached first. yay. Then Junhong with 4 oranges. I only brought 2, and put them in a nice 'basket' made with ang-paos the same way I did that pink lantern in school. Then Junhui came and realised she had forgotten to bring hers. So after Edward and JunSheng came, the two of us went back to take her oranges, while Edward went to change into home clothes. Her mum was waiting for her downstairs.
While walking back, we saw JunSheng pasting something greenish whitish onto a tree (yes a tree) and when we got back to them, nobody had arrived yet. Malcolm was the one who organised it all and wasn't even there. sheesh. So JunHui and I ou tof curiosity went to look at the tree. A Pokka Green tea packet was tied to the tree with a rope which went through a hole in the tree. Where did that come from? Some bored person drilled a hole?
When finally finally the rest of them, Malcolm, Michael, Gigi, Siqi and Seow Hwee arrived, we went in. And walked to the canteen where Mrs Raymond bought us drinks and gave us ang-paos. She's so nice. But you must save money lah, Mrs R. Then we went upstairs and saw Hong Lao Shi and talked to her while watching yet another lion dance troup perform. They were professionals though. And the Gong Ah was extremey fat. The kids were like, totally enthu and kept touching the lion head. Haha. Gigi wanted to go upfront to catch the sweets, but we told her 不要跟小孩子挣. haha.
And we talked about lots of things in the MRL room in the library with Mrs Raymond, from 5A '09, to 6A '09 and her trip to America (where she spent like, $11,000 on branded goods) to boyfriends and pervertic girls and everything else. Like Erica putting her bag on a seat on the bus during peak period, which is sickening. Junhui, PingGhee and I didn't have a seat on the bus today (as usual) and there was a pregnant woman who put her stuff on the seat beside her. Of course, she can't put it on her lap; there's not much of it left. She can't put it on her stomach nor can she put it on the floor, because she can't bend over, so it's acceptable for her. Anyway, we were like going on and on.
And we reached the topic of being short. Mrs R wanted to compare her height with mine, hoping to make me feel better, but I refused, because I knew I was still shorter than her when even Michael grew and Malcolm was already towering over me.
And then I found out Mrs Raymond actually watches Hot Shot! And she likes wu zun. O.O But anyway, she has the song Superman on her phone too. But she forgot the name and said, "I have the song on my phone too! The, the... Spiderman."
After we talked and talked, with 6D and 6B peeps continuing to be anti-climaxes, we finally ended our very long conversation at about 4.30pm, and decided not to help Edward escape his tuition. He really very poor thing leh. SO much tuition won't help him much, makes him more stressed only. Don't know what his mother is thinking. And we didn't go eat lunch together after all. JunHui was starving and eating some pieces of the chocolate Edward brought. He brought a lot, one for everyone. And I forgot to give it to PaPa before he went off to work. sigh. He could eat it while protecting Singapore when everyone is fast asleep.
So I went home and ate my Mee Rebus (which I found out my mum bought for me. =] ) hehe. Then used the computer, bathed and until now. And I have to arrange me room and clear out all the bags, wrap Tiffany's present and then continue to read about the KKK.

You were always beside me,
A place I could touch and see.
But now you're no longer there,
In a place no one knows where.
I can no longer look forward
To tomorrows anymore,
because I know that they will never
Be the way they were before.
I wish there was some way
I could have said goodbye.
The thought of him runs through
my head as I look up in the sky.
My soul hurts and aches
And I want to die.
I just wish you were here
To wash away my tears.
dedicated to Jie.
I do not like reading sad blogs. Because it makes me feel like crying and wonder if you are really ok. cheer up.
Don't read ahead, just copy and paste the following into a NEW bulletin BEFORE you read my answers. Then answer the following questions one at a time WITHOUT LOOKING AHEAD with the first thought that comes to mind. Then read what each answer means at the end.
DONT SCROLL ALL THE WAY DOWN IF YOU'RE PLANNING TO BLOG ABOUT THIS!
1. You are walking in the woods. You are not alone. Who's with you?
Mum and Dad.
2. You are walking in the woods. You see an animal. What kind of animal?
Hopefully none. But maybe a snake?
3.What interaction takes place between you and the animal?
None. I will walk away as fast as possible without letting it notice me.
4. You walk deeper in the woods. You enter a clearing, and before you is your dream house. How big is it?
Quite big. Like maybe that white house (that i always see on the bus) with lots of plants surrounding it along bukit timah road.
5. Is your dream house surrounded by a fence?
6. You enter the house. You walk into the dining room and see the dining table is covered with?
Fruits and everything on the table the last time we had 团圆饭 with 爷爷. And he's sitting with the rest of my family there.
7.You exit the house and a cup is on the ground, what kind is it?
8.What do you do with the cup?
Bring it into the house, wash it and set it to dry.
9.You walk to the edge of the property where you find yourself standing at a body of water; what kind is it?
A nice calm lake, like the 日夜湖 in 神威.
10.How do you cross that body of water?
Sit on a small wooden boat and row across.
1. The person who you are walking in the woods with is the most important to you.
2. The size of the animal is representative of your perception of the size of your problems in your life.
3. The severity of the interaction you have with the animal is representative of how you deal with your problems.
4. The size of your dream home is representative of the size of your ambition.
5. A lack of a fence is indicative of an open personality. People are welcome at all times. The presence of a fence indicates a closed personality. You'd prefer people not drop by unannounced.
6. If your answer did NOT include food, flowers, or people, then you are generally unhappy.
7. The durability of the material with the cup is representative of the perceived durability of your relationship with your lovers.
8. What you did with the cup is representative of your attitude.
9. The size of the body of water is representative of the size of your relationships.
10. The way you cross the water is representative to how easy or hard you expect your life to be.
The flag stopped midway...
I feel so sad. read the previous post. Furthermore, I totally do not understand what Mr Tan taught during Maths Olympiad today. And I have so many SIAs to finish. What the heck. And it's my fault for doing everything wrong, including not saying that I have Maths Olympiad loud enough when you already signed the form.
Something else happened today. Natalie was raising the flag with me but I noticed that the national flag was going abnormally slowly today, so even though I knew I had the right tempo, I still kept looking at the flags so that I would not overgo the national flag. But who knew, the national flag suddenly stopped halfway, and since the school flag cannot be above the national flag, I didn't dare to pull anymore and stopped there as well, my heart thumping like mad. It's appropraite to use 急得像热锅上的蚂蚁一样, this cliche term. Because it is really true.It wasn't until after pledge-taking then I got them to pull it up - they were intending to tie it without pulling it up completely! I mean there hasn't been a national tragedy! That was one of the most... ahem things that happened today.
Monday, January 19, 2009, 10:46 PM
got my computer back today. but there's nothing left in it... nothing. nothing at all.

Been watching 无敌珊宝妹. And the story rocks. Really rocks. But the storyline somehow incorporate Princess Fiona from Shrek in it. :(

I rebonded my hair. Aunty Mabel recommended me and boy. The place (the hair salon beside the alteration tailor shop near swee heng) was renovated and I thought it was some new place I'd never ever seen before! It was high-tech. The perm thingums were semi circular, but flat and they revolve. Amazing! And it took less time than usual, because Aunty Angie (the manager who did my hair) used that o make the chemicals work faster. And it looks amazing. Straight with a slight curve at the bottom. not all straight totally and lifeless.
And i went to see a Chinese Physician right after that because my cough still hasn't recovered for some unknown reason so my mum sent me there. Hope that I get well soon. Then I went to the toilet at a coffeeshop. It was clean (for a kopitiam). Like new and clean and nice-looking. First time I ever praised a kopitiam toilet, mind you. FIRST TIME.
my lips have swollen up for some reason. puffy. =(

Disappearing name tag
Yesterday I was dying to blog, but had to do something private and important. SO...
Yesterday I couldn't sleep well. Or should I say the previous night. Because the previous night before I slept, which was Tuesday night, my mum was so pissed that I couldn't wake up as fast as usual (which is usually before you can say Harry Potter) and told me "我明天指挥叫你一次哦！你不要醒来就不管你了，让你摔到迟到！“so I was like, freaking out (although she probably won't do it) and woke up like, at random intervals, at 1.45am, 2.30am, 3.30am, something like that. I was heard my faulty door creak open and woke up at 1.45am, rushed out of bed and went out. But the kitchen light was not on, which meant that my mother wasn't up yet. O.o I thought she was the one who went into my room and woke me up but found out it was far too early. Haha.
We finished watching Missisipi Burning yesterday. I CAN'T BELIEVE THE SHERRIFF WAS ACQUITTED! AND THE KKK MEMBERS WERE ONLY IMPRISONED FOR LIKE, 3 YEARS, 5 YEARS, 7 YEARS AND 10 YEARS!!! WHAT THE HECK! If it was in Singapore, they would probably get 24 strokes of the cane and, yes, and the death sentence. Let them suffer before they die, don't let them die so easily. When I oh-so-angrily complained this to JunHui, she said a very obvious fact, "If it was in Singapore, it probably wouldn't happen." Yea. It wouldn't. 我们新加坡人才不会干这种种族歧视的东西！不过以前有过啊，但是
Today, I woke up early. Although I slept at like, 2am yesterday. When I went to school and was prepared to go and raise the flag instead of flagging today, Amelia discovered my name tag was gone. I was desperately searching all over for it, including the toilet and the toilet bowl. But it didn't help. I couldn't find it. So I wore my jacket to assembly and Shona was flagging. She was quite ok for a first-timer. x) Too nervous bah. Rela, no one is looking at you! I didn't look at the people flagging and thought no one looks too, so I wasn't scared. Anyway, Ms Yap wouldn't suddenly turn around and stare at you what. It was after I did it then discovered people actually notice. O.o And once back to class, CALLIE FOUND MY NAMETAG IN HER BAG. JunHui, Wanlin and I think that since mummy pinned it badly, it must have gotten loose and flew into her bag when I took off my jacket beside her. Luckily it didn't hit her.
The compo was quite fun! 我写了一个很戏剧化的故事，而且用了很多花花绿绿的形容词包装它。希望能够拿更高分……
Netball (PE) was quite fun. My arm muscles were stronger! Woots! And i forgot to bring my health booklet and imagined the nurse to angrily look at me and say "You didn't bring your booklet? Wait lor. I can do nothing about it. Come back TOMORROW WITH YOUR HEALTH BOOKLET!!!" but she just said, "never mind. We'll just give you an envelope." Wah. SO nice.
CCA was so fun today. And I'm eating Taiwan Instant Noodles, which was delicious, especially the flavouring. But I found some corn noodles (made from 100% corn. healthier.) and between the two, I prefer the corn noodles, much more 清淡 and delicious. H

1st maths olympiad training 09
Haven't blogged for a long time. Almost a week already. Miss blogging.
OMG. I'm so glad I took Maths Olympiad training for SIA. It's fun. super fun. although I fell asleep at the front part of today's lesson,I actually understood it! I'm so happy. And it's totally cool like, prove 10^1999 + 23^1999 can be divisible by 11. It's actually so easy (congruences and all.) AND it's unlike math olympiad lessons in P5, where I totally didn't comprehend much.
And I spent 30minutes in CCA and we were dismissed. Thought I could go home early by fate likes to play wih people. 我眼睁睁地看着两辆67巴士跑掉了。很倒霉吧！I was so miserable and nearly cried, so I emo-ed away listening to my songs UNTIL. Until I saw the next bus coming, which was 30minutes later. At least that was what it felt like. But anyway, I saw Su-An on the bus and unlike the other seniors, she gave me a very very clear explanation what subjects and combination I could choose in in Sec 3 and I'm not so puzzled anymore. Woots!
So now I'm home and eating pumpkin and vegetables for dinner. Delicious but seems a bit pathetic.
Wednesday, January 07, 2009, 6:55 PM
Sunday was so-so. The interview was like, one question related, why i wanted to join, the rest a bit unrelevant, like "你家蛮远的吧？" (it was in toa payoh) "不会吧…新加坡蛮小的." Well... Hope I get in. I really really want to be a reporter.
Monday was not exactly the start of school, but the start of formal lessons, and I had PSL duty, so I missed PE. Which seemed nice at first, but it turned out to suck. Because they played netball. =( AND they could laugh at me while suffering from the stench in the shooting range and reminiscing about spinning 10 rounds and then standing on one leg for the tryouts.
At the gym, I got to jump on the trampoline, the large one. Abigail held my hand and let me jumped, which proved to be scarier than jumping alone. And then I jumped myself. woots! And when the sec ones jumped, some said it was fun but some said it wasn't, but scary. Talked to a lot of them in my sore voice.
Day two: Amazing race. I was the station master but before I go on about that, I had malay class. Elementary conversational Malay. And it wasn't so bad. Just that I'll be learning a fourth language. hehe. And then went for my duty. And some of theteams were super enthu. We made them play Charades and act out stuff ike Roti Prata and Elvis Presley. x) They guess it right! haha.
Today. I'm so pissed because i felt so sick in the morning and couldn't speak much, then I missed scienc lesson, which sucks because now I can't do my worksheet. Anyway, guaring the audi wasn't much fun, just that the latest person to arrive was Mrs Kuan. The P and VPs were late. The teachers set a very good example for us. >:-) mwahaha. And during PSS, the sec 1s were dying to find out which was the guy I had a crush on because I was telling them the

only a day
It's only been barely a day and my brother has been complaining about memorising idioms. Sounds familiar? haha. He's in Mrs Raymond's class. Seres him right for telling me that my work was super easy and I should spen dmore itme playing games with him when I was in P5.
Sec 1 Orientation 09 - Day 1
omg. It was damn boring. and tiring. taking 103, and my juniors of concord, gladys and vanessa, were in 104 and 102. Elaine is in 106 and Rebecca is in 113...
anyway, the best part of the day was the start of lesson, when I found out Chen LiLi is our Co-Form Teacher and Ms Lye is our form teacher again! Woots! Ms Foo's taking 103. And she told me to take the key to lock up the class, which I passed to Amanda, who forgot to return it and made me explain everything to the clerk who called me. Which is stupid.
School tour, we were loitering and walking around aimlessly, telling them weird stuff like not to buy from the vening machine ousde popular because there are ants and they will give you murky water instead of milo or horlicks. The other vending machinese seriously look nice. Changed to new ones bah.
Oh. I get to raise the flags in Term 1! Yay!

New Year's Day
spent my new year's eve at home. There was nothing I could do. Not much anyway. Just lazed around and finished 恶女阿楚, which was rather draggy. So after watching Little Nyonya and Iljimae, mum and I watched the new year celebration on channel 8 whereas my bro went into his room to watch the celebration on channel 5 on the even larger television in his room. It was discarded from my grandmother's house because an aunt or uncle bought her a plasma. woah. So good. And that big screen bulk tv came to our house, the quality wasn't even good. still prefer the small and steady on in the living room. And even if you paid me to put a tv in my room, unless it can hang on the wall, no thanks.
Anyway, I was talking to wanqing when it was 5 minutes into the new year, and sipping Sparkling juice at the same time. That same day, after we slept and woke up, my dad came home from duty (yea. The air force protects you even on New Year's Day. How safe.) and slept. He didn't sleep for 24 hours leh. And we slacked around, then went to Jurong Point and JP2 (Jurong Point 2, the extended and new portion) to shop. I went to World of Sports and bought a pair of Elle Sandals. I love Elle sandals. very comfortable and not all that expensive with the 40% membeship discount with the card my bro borrowed from his friend, JunHao. hehe.
And we went shopping at JP2, which was damn large, but I didn't get lost. Jurong point (+JP2) is the largest sub-burban mall in Singapore, and yep, I guess it was larger than IMM already. the shops had great offers. And my mum boughta necklace from Helen. I couldn't find one I wanted to buy, found a cheap one I liked but it was slightly chipped. Sigh. Saving up to buy a pair of shoes from CK Tangs, but maybe I'll go to Far East Plaza or JP2 to shop one day, with Amelia, most probably. Jurong Point used to be the hang out for Tiffany and I... sigh.
